Tim Brierley
Tim joined firstminute in 2024 as the Finance Director.
He is responsible for managing the finances of the Funds and the LLP, both internal and external reporting, the valuation of investments, and aspects of tax and compliance.
Previously, Tim spent four years as the Head of Portfolio & Fund Finance at Balderton Capital, primarily responsible for the valuation and monitoring of 150+ portfolio companies, assisting with fund strategy, and overseeing some aspects of Fund Operations.
Before Balderton, Tim worked at Coller Capital and EY, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant. He is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
When Tim is not deep in spreadsheets, he can be found ricocheting around a squash court or obsessively caring for his lawn. In a former life, Tim has graced the stage of illustrious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Bethnal Green Working Men's Club, playing the saxophone alongside the likes of Florence Welch (of Florence & The Machine fame), Kylie Minogue, and Theo James (who rapped Gangsta's Paradise).
